Watershed LLC is dedicated to helping customers reduce their water use and improve their impact on water through customized water surveys, cost and savings analysis, project development and management, research, demonstration, and training.

Services Offered by Watershed

Commercial and residential water efficiency auditing, inspections, analysis, equipment recommendation, and report writing.

• We help customers find ways to save money on their residential landscape irrigation water use.  We typically find water savings of 30% or more in residential landscapes.

• We work with customers to find cost effective ways to reduce commercial building water bills.  For examples, in over 60 commercial building water surveys in the Seattle area we found an average of $15,000/year of cost effective water savings.  We helped a Western Washington hotel reduce their water bill by over $140,000/year when we discovered some hidden leaks.   We helped a Washington state school obtain a $2,000 refund on their water and sewer bill when we determined that the meter was being read incorrectly.

• We inspect installations of water saving equipment to ensure they were installed as specified.

• We have worked with a number of utilities to help them to develop water conservation programs.
• We work with private companies to help them choose water efficiency equipment and a maintenance program that will meet their financial goals.

• We researched the residential landscape irrigation audit programs of several utilities around the country and then used that information to develop new residential landscape irrigation audit programs for a number of utilities.
• We have researched information on the safety of pesticides and fertilizers, interviewed farmers and gardeners about safe alternatives, and we are developing materials and classes to help guide consumers in the choice of environmentally safe alternatives.

• We developed a curriculum and presented a full day training on water efficiency for commercial building operators.
• We have made a presentation to Hospital engineers on how to reduce water use in health care facilities.
• We developed and presented a class on residential water efficiency for homeowners.
• We presented a class to high school students on landscape water efficiency and low impact development.
